Run on the Happiness Road

The Ma Pi Leng pass, also known as “the Happiness Road”, is the King of all mountain passes in Vietnam. Take on the challenge and run a half-marathon on the magificient pass.

“Fun run”: 5k for males and 3k females, within Meo Vac town

Challenge yourself and run through the stunning landscape of the pass! The run is open only to the 200 earliest runners, so register early!

Registration requirement: 16+ years old, physically fit as certified through health check on the 28 April 2017 at Dong Van hospital or general clinics at district level or higher. Only 200 earliest runners are registered.

Rules: Cut-off time is 180 minutes for females and 165 minutes for males. Anyone who cannot finish on time must get on the car by organizer to be transported to the finishing line.

Prizes:

  • 2 first individual prizes (men + women): Cup + Certificate + Cash (12 million VND each)
  • 2 second individual prizes (men + women): Certificate + Cash (8 million VND each)
  • 2 third individual prizes (men + women): Certificate + Cash (6 million VND each)
  • 2 fourth individual prizes (men + women): Certificate + Cash (4 million VND each
  • 2 fifth individual prizes (men + women): Certificate + Cash (2 million VND each)
  • 10 Consolation individual prizes (men + women): Certificate + Cash (1 million VND each)
  • 2 Oldest runner prizes: (men + women): Certificate + Cash (1 million VND each)

The Ma Pi Leng pass offers abundant inspiration for the arts. In 1964, poet Nguyen Hai Trung, stunned by the extreme sceneries of Ma Pi Leng, shouted out:
